Natalie is in her third year of a combined PhD/Masters of Clinical Psychology degree at the University of New South Wales. She completed her Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) at UNSW and was awarded First Class Honours in 2018.

Natalie has worked alongside members of Refugee Trauma and Recovery Program ever since. In 2019 she worked as a research assistant, primarily focused on the Refugee Adjustment Study and the RTRP treatment Program for PTSD. Currently, Natalie is conducting her doctoral thesis under the supervision of Prof Angela Nickerson. Her research involves delivering an online intervention aimed at reducing mental health stigma in Arabic-speaking refugees and asylum seekers. In doing so, Natalie hopes to reduce barriers and promote greater help-seeking for psychological difficulties amongst this population.
